Carlo Papa is Managing Director of Enel Foundation.
Born in Palermo in 1971, hold an MSc in Economics, a PhD in Management Engineering and the TRIUM MBA jointly issued by NYU Stern, London School of Economics and HEC. Started his professional career in IBM Ireland and UK. Hired by Enel Distribuzione, the Italian DSO, in 1997, the year after joined the Corporate Strategic Planning Dpt.
Founded and co-managed the company Corporate Venture Fund - the biggest in Europe by committed funds at that time with over 500 ml USD under management - led the business development practice in Russia and Ukraine, coordinated the Planning, Organization & Development HR Team in the Market Division and the Chairman Office.
More recently served as Chief Innovation Officer of Enel Green Power. Actively involved as Fellow in the Aspen Institute and the German Marshall Fund of United States, cooperates with two pro bono ventures: mentors4u.com and harambee-africa.org where he serves as Chairman of the Advisory Board.
From April 2015 serves as Managing Director of Enel Foundation and from December 2015 as board member of ARISE, the UNISDR Private Sector Alliance for Disaster Resilient Societies.

Laura is responsible for managing the headquarters of this pan-European association of knowledge transfer professionals, with members across industry, academia and other stakeholders in the innovation landscape. She works with the Board to develop and then implement strategies to advance the objectives of the association.
A Law graduate from the University of Glasgow, Laura’s professional life has concentrated on the knowledge transfer sector where she has gained extraordinary experience as the Head of Licensing at: The University of Edinburgh, Leiden University Medical Center and Leiden University.
Laura now lives in the Netherlands and travels extensively across Europe promoting the work of ASTP and raising the profile of knowledge transfer professionals at the highest levels of Europe’s political and academic life.

Christophe has been working for industrial liaison and public research transfer and commercialisation for 24 years. He has been Director of the Institut National Polytechnique de Toulouse TTO (SAIC INPACT®) since 2004.
Toulouse Tech Transfer is one of the new Tech Transfer Acceleration companies dedicated to French public research. The design of this company, in 2012, was responsibility when he was Director of the Toulouse University Tech Transfer Office.
He was the president of the C.U.R.I.E network , French national association for public research valorisation and transfer, between 2011 and 2014.

Jeff Skinner
Executive Director, Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, London Business School
Jeff is the Executive Director of the Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at London Business School. He also directs a variety of MBA entrepreneurship electives and co-curricular student activities at the School.
Prior to this, as Commercial Director at University College London, he conceived, built and ran UCL’s Technology Transfer division – including the creation of two early-stage seed funds and separate units managing consultancy, collaborative research and new venture creation. Working alongside research students and academics, he has co-founded over thirty technology-based spinouts that have, in aggregate, raised over £30 million first round finance and returned over £20 million to UCL.
He is past President of and remains closely involved with the leading UK & European tech transfer associations, PraxisUnico & ASTP-Proton. He talks, trains and consults widely throughout Europe in the field of technology commercialization. He chairs the Professional Recognition panel for the worldwide ‘Alliance of Technology Transfer Professionals’ (ATTP).
Before joining UCL, he was Technical Marketing Manager at Hoechst Celanese Corporation in New Jersey and prior to that, Photonics Research Manager at General Electric. His first degree was in physics and he holds a Ph.D. in thin-film photonics (UCL) and an MBA from London Business School.

Riccardo Pietrabissa (1956) is a Full Professor of Industrial Bioengineering since 2001 and Rector of the IUSS University School of Pavia since 2019. From 1990 to 2019 he was a lecturer at the Politecnico di Milano where he founded the Laboratory of Mechanics of Biological Structures (LaBS) in 2000, the Patent Office and the Technology Transfer Office (2002). He was also the Deputy Vice Rector at the Polo di Lecco (2005-2010). At the CNR he was Director of the ICT Department and of the Production Systems Department (2011-2012), and then a member and subsequently Vice President of the Scientific Council. He has contributed to the foundation of Netval (2002), the Association of Universities and Research Bodies for the enhancement of research, of which he was President until 2013. Since 2016 he has been President of the Eucentre Foundation of Pavia.
